Our Association is one of the oldest soccer organizations in the United States .
The Association was founded in the year 1913 and was comprised of leagues from Buffalo and Rochester , composed
mostly of immigrant players from European countries .
The Association was one of the founding members of the United States Soccer Federation .
The territorial jurisdiction of the Western New York Soccer Association is as follows: (a) to the North- The
United States/Canada border ; (b) to the East - to Eastern boundaries of Jefferson , Oswego , Onondaga , Chenango and Broome
counties ; (c) to the South and West - the
New York/Pennsylvania state border.
Our Association is proud to have three of our members included into the United States Soccer Hall of Fame - Mr.Daniel(Dan)Fowler
(dec.), Mrs.Margaret(Peg)Fowler (dec.), and Mr.Reinhold Spath , who spent best part of their lives promoting soccer in this
part of the country .
Member clubs , over the years , have had a long history of success with winners of the US National Amateur Cup
, ect. The Association is also proud to have placed one of their homebred player , Brian Bliss on the US National Team .
